2017 Environmental Initiative Award Winner: Emerging leader

In honor of our 25th Anniversary, we're honoring those who have made substantial impact on Minnesota's environmental community. The Emerging Leader award recognizes an individual under the age of 40 who has not only been influential, but who also values collaboration to reach solutions. Get to know the winner below.

Eliza Clark

As the Director of Sustainability and Environmental at Andersen Corporation, Eliza Clark is responsible for developing and advancing programs that measurably reduce environmental impacts across the company’s value chain. Clark leads a variety of initiatives that span the organization, including operations, employee engagement, communications, supply chain and marketing. 

Her other (past and present) professional commitments include:

  • Being a founding member of the Minnesota Sustainable Growth Coalition
  • Serving on the Board of Directors for Environmental Initiative
  • Acting as Vice Chair of Super Bowl LII’s Sustainability Committee
  • Former Marketing/Communications Chair of Urban Land Institute Minnesota and Minnesota’s U.S. Green Building Council chapter 
  • Co-founding and co-leading the Minnesota Sustainability Practitioner’s Roundtable

Prior to joining Andersen, she held manager-level sustainability roles at Ecolab, Paydirt, and GreenMark. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Clark holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University.
